Documentation
# Desktop Bookkeeping
Native GnuCash inside a streamed KasmVNC desktop.
## Version
Debian Bookworm `gnucash` 4.13 (current upstream is 5.x — but 4.x is fully functional for personal + small-business bookkeeping; the data file format is forward-compatible).
## First launch
GnuCash's welcome wizard helps you create your first set of books. Pick a template (e.g. "Common Accounts", "Business Accounts") and save the .gnucash file under `/config/` so it persists.
## Storage
`/config` is the in-session user's home — .gnucash files anywhere under it persist. 5 GB volume default.
