# PDF Annotation & Handwriting Notes
Native Xournal++ inside a streamed KasmVNC desktop.
## Version
Debian Bookworm `xournalpp` **1.1.3** (upstream is 1.2.x — annotation features are equivalent).
## Stylus / touch caveat
KasmVNC streams the desktop as video — pressure sensitivity from a real stylus does NOT pass through the browser. The mouse + tablet input works, but Apple Pencil / Surface Pen pressure won't be detected. For best stylus experience, install osFoundry's desktop client and use the native local Xournal++ build.
## First launch
Opens to a blank infinite-paper page; File → Annotate PDF to start marking up an existing document.
## Storage
Files persist anywhere under `/config`.
