# Personal Budget (Local-first)
Local-first envelope-budgeting app, powered by Actual Budget.
## How it works
Actual is local-first — your budget lives as an SQLite file in the browser or desktop client. This app runs the **optional sync server** that lets you keep the same file in sync across multiple devices. You can also use the bundled web UI as a primary client.
## Features
- Envelope budgeting + rolling rules
- Schedules, payees, categories, tags
- Reports + custom dashboards
- Bank sync via GoCardless / SimpleFIN (configured in the client)
- End-to-end encryption (data encrypted before reaching this server)
## Packaging
Thin wrapper around the upstream `actualbudget/actual-server` image. SQLite + uploaded files live on `/data`. No env required — set a server password on first login.
