# AI Chat (Designer UI)
Designer-grade chat UI, powered by LobeChat. Pairs with the other two AI Chat apps (Open WebUI, LibreChat) as the most visually polished option.

## Modes
- **Client mode (default)** — chat history + provider keys live in your browser; nothing server-side. This app runs this mode by default.
- **Server mode** — adds a DB + auth for multi-user / cloud sync. Set `NEXT_AUTH_*` env vars to enable.
## Packaging
Thin wrapper around the official `lobehub/lobe-chat` image. Optional file persistence at `/data`. **No DB bundled** — LobeChat in client mode uses browser IndexedDB.
