## Setup
Provide your admin email in `FRIENDICA_ADMIN_MAIL` before installing. On first open, Friendica auto-installs against the bundled database, then sends an admin-account email to that address (check the container logs for a temporary password if email isn't configured yet). Set the optional `FRIENDICA_PUBLIC_URL` for a custom domain.
## Hostname is permanent
A federated identity is tied to its URL on first run. Pick the right URL **before** you start following people — changing it later breaks your federation identity.
## Theme / appearance
Friendica has its own theme switcher in user settings; pick one that supports light/dark.
