# Image Compressor (Web)
In-browser image compression, powered by Squoosh.
## How it works
Squoosh is a pure-client SPA — all encoding runs in your browser via WebAssembly (libwebp, libavif, jpeg-xl, MozJPEG, OxiPNG, ...). **Your images never leave your browser** — there is no server-side image processing.
