# Citation & Reference Manager
Native Zotero inside a streamed KasmVNC desktop.
## Version
Zotero **7.0.32** from the official tarball (Bookworm has no `zotero` package).
## First launch
Zotero prompts for a data directory — accept the default `~/Zotero` (which lives inside `/config/Zotero/`). The library + attached PDFs all persist there.
## Sync (optional)
To sync your library + PDFs across devices, sign in with a free zotero.org account: Edit → Settings → Sync. Without sync the library is local to this container.
## Storage
20 GB volume default — bump if you're attaching lots of PDFs.
