# AI Face Restoration

Face restoration, powered by GFPGAN.

## Performance
- CPU: ~15-30s per face
- GPU: ~1s per face

## Use cases

## Models
- **GFPGANv1.4** (default — best quality)
- **RestoreFormer** (alternative tuned for severe degradation)

## Companion app
Pair with **AI Photo Upscaler** (#261 Real-ESRGAN) — first run GFPGAN on the face, then upscale the whole photo.

## Packaging
Gradio wrapper around upstream GFPGAN. Models cached at `/data`.
