Explore the model, context, retrieval, orchestration, and conversation controls in Maestro’s bottom menu.

Context lifecycle

Compaction — Set when Maestro summarizes older messages, right from the conversation bottom menu.
Sub-Agent Compaction — Choose whether sub-agents compact their own histories.
Compact now — Run manual compaction when you want to make room before continuing.
History Clean — Choose the conversation history cleaning behavior.
MD Writer Mode — Switch between automatic and manual MD writing.
MD Files — Select which channel MD files are enabled for the conversation.
MD Session — Control the MD session and branch used by the conversation.

Model — Pick a model directly in Direct chat, or choose how models are selected in a routed conversation.
Agent — Assign an agent to the conversation from the bottom menu.
Approval mode — Set the permission behavior for work started from this conversation.
osStudio authoring — Control whether agents can change osStudio items without asking each time.
